Great scenic train ride
Very scenic and enjoyable 2 hour ride. It’s on an incline part way up and back so the scenery includes hills and slopes. Plus the stopover halfway included visiting old train station in South Dayton with memorabilia from movie “The Natural” with Robert Redford.

Highly recommended
If you're looking for Amtrak, this isn't it. This is a great little tourist railroad with vintage train cars and engines. The staff is very, very friendly and accommodating. It's very obvious they love their jobs and take a lot of pride in what they do. I highly recommend New York & Lake Erie Railroad!

Our kids loved it
My older son loved looking out the window for beaver dams and my younger son liked guessing if each crossing would have lights or not. The old train really added to the experience as well. Would highly recommend New York & Lake Erie Railroad.

Great Halloween train ride
Awesome Halloween ride! Can't say enough about the staff and the conductor. What a local treasure, kids loved it!! Also they followed social distancing by having several closed seats between groups, cars were only about 1/4 full and they had the windows cracked for a good airflow.
